Corestar
Bike Fit Physical Therapy

At Corestar we treat cyclists at all levels. If you have acquired an injury because of riding we are here to help. Not only will we treat your injury, we can examine you on your bike. You should never hurt riding on a bike. There are two types of injuries that occur on a bike, one that is acquired from a crash and the other from repetition or overuse. If your bike handles, cleat positions, or seat are off 1 mm, it can cause discomfort that in turn with time may result in an injury. Bike PT is an extensive session that entails thorough evaluation of you, your bike, and you on the bike. That means you are in all your gear including cleats.

Cyclist Diagnostics

This is where the physical therapist performs a thorough musculoskeletal evaluation for any weakness, muscle imbalance, flexibility deficits, and anomalies that could be hindering your performance or causing your injury. In addition, we discuss your cyclist discomforts you are experiencing.

Bike Inspection

The first step is an evaluation of your Bike and gear. We assess and measure your bike. Why? It is important to have all the measurements before any mild tweaking is performed. Cleats will be assessed as well.

Bike Fit

This is the relationship between you and your bike. The goal is to become one with your bike. We will assess the biomechanics of you riding your bike on a bike trainer. In addition, specific static measurements will be taken of you on your bike. After thorough evaluation, we will then start the process of what we call retrofit adjustments. After the adjustments are made we will reassess biomechanics, measurements, and comfort. In addition, we will recommend exercises for any deficiencies discovered and training tips.
